Alright dog I gotta say that adding more time commitments and schedule requirements is not going to make more people join. If you want to force teams to acclimate to each other then add a week 0 “scrim week” where matches don’t count, like rd2l does.

I’m one of the 2 ancient players and my team was deadass me and 5 archons. If that’s not exactly what you just described idk what is.
Enforce MMR req for captains. This season we had half the league within 500 MMR of the cap, so all captains should have been these players.
Making people do things is a recipe to get super unmotivated and disinterested captains. I don’t know if this is a shot you’re taking at bubbles but this really doesn’t make any sense otherwise. The players all near 500mmr of the cap is a result of a different problem that I’ll talk about more later.
Do low skill players have fun laning against people at least 1k MMR higher than them? No. Does it make them want to learn? No. Does it motivate them? It can, but its mostly just soul crushing.
So you propose that players that would graduate just leave to rd2l to… be forced to be a rotating support player against players way higher mmr than them? This argument can be used against you if “them” can be thought of as graduating players in rd2l.
Fuck the grad season. We had 3? or 4 ancients this season. They should never care to play this league.

They shouldn’t use LD2L games as a warmup for RD2L games, because then they’re more likely to blow off LD2L, because “muh RD2L season”.
Alright dude I don’t know where you get this from literally at all. I can’t speak for Choco (who is probably the player most actively trying to improve in the whole league) but I can say that I definitely cared more about ld2l than rd2l. In case you think I’m pulling this out of my ass:

For this reason the amount of MMR variance needs to be lowered, and that seems like it might have to be by killing the legend pool of the league.
With 31 legend players in last seasons draft and only 38 below legends then it seems like legend players are a vital part of of pool. The quickest way to decrease mmr variation would actually be to get rid of everyone below legend but that would be equally retarded.

We having 2 week signups while requiring inhouses and a vouch are going to make it nearly impossible gain more players. And I hate to break it to you guys but you HAVE TO GET NEW PLAYERS. You can’t just keep raising the badge cap instead of getting new sign ups. Yea I understand you don’t want to police new redditards but the standard of people let in is already so in the floor it literally doesn’t matter. Previous seasons had a grad cap of legend and managed to run a league and currently we couldn’t even assemble 7 teams of sub legend players.
If y’all don’t want to police new people yourself then get community mods to police chat to keep people like soltie out. I’ll be the first one to put in an application.
